I’m so thankful I was taught to meditate by Apostolic ministry. The way I meditate is to check up on what I need by thinking about God and his recent activity with me. I do that in the midst of going about my day. Today I was feeling lifeless and had work to do so my meditation had to be an on the job deal. This is what the Lord gave me.
“I will sing to the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have any being. May my meditation be sweet to him; as for me, I will rejoice in the Lord.”
That “ANY BEING” made me think. Even though we know we have life in the Lord, sometimes we don’t feel like it or are not conscious of it but when, in the midst of our meditation, we are enlivened by a gust of Holy Spirit, we are suddenly aware of the source of our life, God. And it’s not ANY OLD BEING !
